Just a Thought

The other day, I got bad news that my good friend Michele did not make it through the police academy. It was heart breaking because this was her second time through. To know her, you know she would make a great street cop. She is smart, level headed, and knows her stuff. I have never seen anyone so dedicated or determined to pass as her. She passes the written tests, the practicals, everything. The only thing keeping her from her dream of being a police officer is a 6 foot wall. A SIX FOOT WALL!!!!! Come on people.......How can 6 feet define if a person gets to be a police officer or not. It's ashame. I have worked patrol and I am going to tell you, I am not jumping a six foot wall after a suspect.....Too dangerous. They can be waiting on the other side waiting to ambush you or shoot you. It's stupid....set up a perimeter. Anyhow, she says she will put herself through the academy one more time. I know she will make it this time. I don't think anything will keep her back this time. Go Get 'Em Michele.

Funny Posting in the Sun Post.

Well, I joined the Sun Post Newpaper's Fantasy Football League. Ike Dodson, the sports editor, wrote introductions for each participant in the fantasy football league. I found my introduction to be pretty funny. That Ike is a character. I clipped the article and included it so everyone can read it:

David Fletcher
A quick glance at Fletcher’s mug says it all. He’s a confident and savvy fantasy manager with the brains of a dolphin and the brawn of a steroid injected gorilla. The photograhper’s passion for the game and love for his own team finish far second in comparison to his quest for fantasy football greatness. He once burned a Houston Texans flag in a bet to acquire Wes Welker from an opposing owner. Now the Texans fan spends his time spying on Frank Gore and Bryant Johnson at the 49ers training camp, and was once kicked out of the camp for offering to pay Gore to tank the season for $34 and a large bag of hot cheetos. He returned, disguised as a water boy and had J.T. O’Sullivan’s dirty underwear tested for any traces of sleeper potential.

We drafted our teams on Sunday. I don't think I drafted well at all. My best players are Terrell Owens, Eli Manning, and Justin Fargas, and Adam Vinaterri. I did get the 49ers and the Texans defenses. I think I will have fun with this football year win or not.

One of the things I like to do over the summer is take pictures at the Babe Ruth Little League games in Manteca. The kids love to see action shots of themselves and the parents just love pictures of their kids. I created Code Three Action Photos because some of the photographers would charge an arm, a leg and the kitchen sink for pictures. Personally, I couldn't afford some of the picture packages they were offering. At Code Three Action Photos I charge about 1/4 what the others charge and the parents love the quality of my work more. If you click on these photos, you can see the dirty fly into Anthony's face and see the ball frozen in air. In the next photo you can see the flex in Alec's bat and the ball about to fly off his bat. Another thing I pride my self on is getting the photos to the customer within a day or two without sacrificing quality. When someone pays for a service they should not have to wait very long for their photos.

This is a photo I took of our honor guard at Sheriff Whitmore's memorial. I had a better picture but I just can't find it.

My best friend "Bear."

This is my best friend "Bear." He is the most gentle and loyal friend ever. I don't call him a dog because he thinks he is a person. He makes me laugh and smile every day. He walks backwards in and out of doors, walks backwards up and down stairs, has more toys on the floor throughout the house than any toddler, and blocks the door when you try to leave the house without him. He is part golden lab and chow. I love him and he always has a happy smile on his face.

I am published in the Manteca Sun Post newspaper.

In early August I attended several San Francisco 49er training camps to take photos. I took some pretty good photos and gave them to the Manteca/Lathrop Sun Post newspaper. They asked me to write an article about my experience at the training camps. I am not much of a writer but I did my best. Well, they printed some of my pics and my article. It took up the whole page (page 15) of this weeks paper.

I couldn't believe it. One of my dreams came true. I have been finally published. I was so excited I bought a bunch of papers and showed them to my co-workers and sent some to family members. I can't wait for the opportunity to write another article and submit my pictures again.

My first Blog.

Well, welcome to my first Blog page. I am new to this and it is a whole new world for me. I didn't even know what a blog was until a few hours ago. So I created this to share my thoughts, ideas, and news about my business to anyone who cares.

Feel free to leave me any feedback, comments or ideas.
